Curb Your Enthusiasm is a Must for Seinfeld Fans
Have You Seen Curb Your Enthusiasm?
If you love Seinfeld, then you’ll probably love Curb Your Enthusiasm. Now in its fifth season, Curb Your Enthusiasm is a product of Seinfeld producer Larry David. Almost all the Seinfeld fans I know love Curb Your Enthusiasm, and the number of fans Curb Your Enthusiasm has is growing fast.
Where To Find It
Curb Your Enthusiasm currently airs on HBO. Relax. Even if you don’t have this channel, you can still enjoy Curb Your Enthusiasm. I actually recently rented Seasons 2 and Season 3 from our local library for free. The best part of this was that I got to watch the episodes at my leisure. The bad part is that I missed out on all the discussions my coworkers had when each new episode aired.
What's The Big Deal?
The silly attention that Larry David gives to everyday occurrences is what makes Curb Your Enthusiasm so funny and enjoyable. The humor is similar to Seinfield, but it not a complete duplicate. Inf act, the humor is very original and unlike any other show currently on television -- and the fans just love it.
Let's Tread Lightly
Curb Your Enthusiasm is certainly not for everyone. Some individuals just don’t find humor in it and those who have issues with the show are usually those who don't find humor in jokes at revolving around religion. For instance, one of the episodes in season two consisted of Larry and his wife attending a ceremony for a Jewish man who was converting to Christianity at his fiancée’s request. Larry showed up late and mistakenly thought the Christian baptism was an attempted drowning. He immediately jumped into the water to save the person. This resulted in an “incomplete baptism.” The comical dialogue that followed can only be appreciated if you watch this episode, but it makes light of the cultural misunderstandings that can occur.
Another problem some have with Curb Your Enthusiasm is that it does have bad language. However, there is no nudity or other graphic material, making this show one of the lighter ones on television. If you haven't yet had the chance to catch an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, I highly recommend it.
