Ever Been Parasailing?
Parasailing: Your Next Big Adventure
If you’re an adventure fan and you’ve never been parasailing, you don’t know what you’re missing. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of soaring in the sky as you observe the terrain below. So what exactly is parasailing and is it something that you’re up for? Let’s see.
Fly in the Sky
When a person goes parasailing, they are hitched to a parasail, which is something like a parachute canopy. The most common form of parasailing is beach parasailing. When someone goes beach parasailing, their harness is attached to a tow line, which is then attached to a boat.
Once the parasailor is ready, the boat begins to move forward, tightening the tow line. The parasailor then either walks or runs toward the boat as the boat is moving forward. While this is happening, the parasail is inflating. As the boat speeds up, the parasailor is sent skyward and sails above the terrain below.
Safety First
Before you go parasailing, you need to understand that if you don’t know what you’re doing, it can be a very dangerous endeavor. Because of this, it is important to take parasailing lessons or go with someone who is very familiar with the parasailing process.
