Have You Been To The Office?

The Office That You Don’t Mind Visiting

If you’ve ever worked in an office setting, you’re familiar with the office dork, the corporate kiss-up, the manager who thinks he’s “cool” but really isn’t anything but a big pain in the rear and all of the other “characters” that make up the typical corporate office environment. No there’s a show that stereotypes all of them and let’s us laugh at office life the way we always should have.

Welcome to the Office

If you’re looking for something fun to watch on television, you might want to take a moment to watch NBC’s The Office. Now, in its’ third season, the fall lineup of episodes is proving to be the best so far. If you haven’t tuned into The Office yet, plan to this Thursday night.

Who’s Who in The Office?

Steve Carell is funnier than ever as Dunder Mifflin’s Regional Manager, Michael Scott. The Office also stars John Krasinski as star sales rep Jim Halpert, Jenna Fischer as the incredibly-sweet secretary Pam Beesly, and B.J. Novak as Ryan Howard, the former intern-turned regular employee. The contrast in the personalities of The Office characters makes for some pretty funny episodes and some hilarious shenanigans.

Love It Or Hate It?

Either you’ll love The Office or you’ll hate it. There’s no in-between. I personally only follow about three or four shows a season, and The Office is the one show I simply can’t miss. I’ve recommended The Office to many of my friends, and while most are instantly drawn in, some just don’t find the acting quite as humorous as I do. I won’t go so far as to say you have to actually work in an office to enjoy this show, but if you work in an office and find your day to be mind-numbing and boring, you will definitely appreciate The Office.

NBC’s website for The Office actually has some neat features that you can check out if you quickly find yourself becoming a diehard fan of The Office and just can’t get enough of the show’s characters. The website has ten webisodes which are two-minute incredibly funny clips. The website also includes real-life interviews with the main characters and deleted scenes.

The Office embraces the popularity of the internet and blogging because character Dwight Schrute, played by Rainn Wilson, actually has his very own blog that is update semi-regularly.

If you’re looking for an incredibly hilarious show to add to your fall lineup of TV shows and a website to go with it, you should definitely check out The Office on Thursday nights.
