The Unbeatable Sport of Hockey

Hockey Is a Great Year-Round Sport

If you’re looking for a fun way to work out some energy or frustration, hockey may be the ideal sport for you. It’s competitive, exhilarating, and fast-paced. The question is, is hockey right for you?

What is Hockey

Hockey is a competitive team sport. The goal of a hockey game is to maneuver the hockey puck past the other team’s goalie and into the goal. There are three main types of hockey that people can play including ice hockey, street hockey and floor hockey. Which one is right for you will depend on where you live and what’s available in your area.

Ice Hockey

Ice hockey is played in an ice rink or on a frozen lake or pond. Ice skates are worn and players must be proficient in ice skating in order to play. If you like to skate and hockey seems like an intriguing sport to you, you might want to consider taking on ice hockey as a favorite pastime.

Floor Hockey

Floor hockey is usually played in a gymnasium on roller blades. This type of hockey is great for people who prefer to play the sport in warmer climates and off the ice.

Street Hockey

A game of street hockey can be played almost anywhere. Simply put together a team, put on your roller blades and take the game out into the street. Just make sure you play on a quiet road and be mindful of passing traffic.
